Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona

Once an ocean bed millions of years ago, it's now a hot, dry but beautiful attraction featuring wood from trees that have turned to stone over time. You can see the sediment layers that have built up over the years which create a nice tan and brown layer cake. We were surprised by how big the park was – including site seeing it took us about three hours to make our way through the whole park. We even saw a bunny!
